This function checks the syntax of a filter.

Syntax

ULONG ldap_check_filter(
  LDAP* 
ld,
  UNICODE PTCHAR 
SearchFilter
);

Parameters

ld

[in] Session handle.

SearchFilter

[in] Pointer to a null-terminated search filter string.

Return Value

If this function succeeds, the return value is LDAP_SUCCESS.

If this function fails, it returns an error code. See the LDAP_RETCODEenumeration for a list of possible return values.

Remarks

Use this function to check the syntax of a search filter before initiating a search.
