The DecodeEventmethod is implemented by the transport to provide a string for each event that it logs with Messaging.

Syntax

HRESULT DecodeEvent (
  TRANSPORTEVENT * 
pevt,
  LPWSTR * 
ppszEvent
);

Parameters

pevt

[in] A TRANSPORTEVENTstructure that the transport logged earlier by using IMailSyncCallBack::LogEvent.

ppszEvent

[out] Reference to a string, allocated by IMailSyncCallBack::AllocateMem, that describes the event.

Return Value

This method returns the standard values E_INVALIDARG, E_OUTOFMEMORY, E_UNEXPECTED, and E_FAIL, as well as the following:

S_OK

Indicates success.

Remarks

IMailSyncCallBack::AllocateMemallocates the memory for the string that is returned to Messaging.
