The FreeMemmethod frees memory allocated by Messaging.

Syntax 

HRESULT FreeMem (
  LPVOID 
pvmem
);

Parameters

pvmem

[in] Reference to memory that was previously allocated using the AllocateMemmethod.

Return Value

E_FAIL

Ignored.

Note:
Although FreeMemreturns an HRESULTof E_FAIL, it means it successfully freed the allocated memory.

Remarks

Anytime the transport needs to free the memory allocated by Messaging, FreeMemmust be used — for example, memory received when using the IMailSyncCallBack::RequestCredentials.
