This message retrieves data about an item in a header control. You can send this message explicitly or use the Header_GetItemmacro.

Syntax 

HDM_GETITEM 
wParam = (WPARAM)(int) 
index;

lParam = (LPARAM)(HD_ITEM FAR*) 
phdi;

Parameters

index

Index of the item for which data is retrieved.

phdi

Pointer to an HDITEMstructure. When the message is sent, the maskmember indicates the type of data requested. When the message returns, the other members receive the requested data. If the maskmember specifies zero, the message returns TRUE, but copies no data to the structure.

Return Value

TRUE indicates success. FALSE indicates failure.
