To set the refresh interval for maps

Using the Windows interface

  1. Open Services for UNIX Administration.
  2. If necessary, connect to the computer you want to manage.
  3. Click User Name Mapping.
  4. Click the Configuration tab.
  5. In Days, Hours, and Minutes, type the refresh interval in hours and minutes. The minimum interval is five minutes.
  6. To save the settings, click Apply.

Using a command line

Argument Description
computername The name of the computer you want to manage.
user The name of the user who has administrative permissions on the computer, if different from the current user.
password The password for the person who has administrative permissions on the computer, if different from the current user.
dddd:hh:mm The refresh interval for updating from the Windows and Network Information Service (NIS) databases in days, hours, and minutes. The minimum interval is five minutes.
